Very peculiar finding here...
DRV stock. This one was brought to my attention in January 2022. Essentially a play that bets against various stocks in the real estate sector. With rising interest rates (and other technical analysis) I'm personally interested in this play, not only as a potential money maker, but also as a hedge for the portfolio in case the bear market continues.
No matter where you look online, charts and data for DRV only go back to 2009 or so, which was after the 2008 financial crisis. Screenshots below.
So on the surface I figured this stock was created after 2008 as a play for bearish investors. But unfortunately for such investors, they would end up never profiting, since the market has ultimately gone up since then (sending DRV down). The DRV fund would always collect its management fees, so either way, a good fund for Direxion to have created.
Screenshots below show all max charts across a number of sites. We see they all go back to 2009 or later:

But here's the kicker. I took these screenshots above today.
I found a reddit user post who 1 year ago was somehow seeing a DRV chart that goes back to 2008 or so 🤯
Seems pretty peculiar that all charts today don't go back that far...
Do with this information what you will...
